‘It’s the road to nowhere, but at least it’s the scenic route’. So says Charlie, the eccentric, ageing English aristocrat the ladies meet on their tour ‘ Down Under’.  ‘Ladies Down Under’ follows Pearl, Jan, Linda and Shelley, the fish packers from Hull, on their Australian adventure.

The show is a sequel to ‘Ladies Day’ which was performed by Phoenix in 2011, although you do not need to have seen the first play to enjoy ‘Ladies Down Under’, where we saw the quartet win half a million pounds at Ascot races.

They are now valiantly trying to live the dream that wealth has given them, and discovering that laughter, sadness, change and surprise are all part of that dream. So why not join them in their journey to the other side of the world and share in their experiences, adventures and revelations and sit back and enjoy this very funny play.
